Liberty Caribbean<\/a><\/strong>, formerly C&W Communications, the operators of Flow, Liberty Business and BTC, has confirmed its state of readiness for the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season, which officially begins on June 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our teams have been working diligently \u2013 conducting simulation drills, strengthening critical infrastructure, and reviewing emergency response protocols \u2013 so we are once again leaving nothing to chance,\u201d said Inge Smidts, Chief Executive Officer, Liberty Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and its Climate Prediction Centre, the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season is forecast to be above normal<\/em>, with an 85% chance of an above-normal season, a 10% chance of a near-normal season, and a 5% chance of a below-normal season. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The forecast includes 13 to 19 named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher), of which 6 to 10 may become hurricanes, including 3 to 5 major hurricanes (Category 3 or higher; winds of 111 mph or higher).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes the deployment of backup power systems, hardened network facilities, and strategic network routing to mitigate the impact of service disruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
