Calvin Ayre Foundation and CalvinAir Helicopters Respond Swiftly to Save Young Boy\u2019s Life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a powerful demonstration of compassion and urgency, the Calvin Ayre Foundation<\/a><\/strong> and CalvinAir Helicopters, in partnership with the Medical Benefits Scheme (MBS), came together to ensure that 7-year-old G’Ani Bridgewater received the critical medical attention he urgently needed. On Tuesday, May 27th, G\u2019Ani and his parents were airlifted to Martinique aboard a medically equipped CalvinAir helicopter, for specialized treatment.<\/p>

When G \u2018Ani\u2019s condition required immediate overseas intervention, the Medical Benefits Scheme mobilized financial support, but a significant shortfall threatened to delay the mission. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Without hesitation, the Calvin Ayre Foundation <\/a><\/strong>stepped in, covering nearly US$22,000 of the US$31,540 total cost. Their swift response removed all financial barriers in the way of G \u2019Ani\u2019s care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is exactly why the Calvin Ayre Foundation exists,\u201d said Ayre Group\u2019s Media Relations Specialist, Jamilla Kirwan.<\/p>

\u201cMBS carries the medical burden of the nation and sometimes it isn\u2019t feasible to carry all of it,\u201d said Valena Tannis, Board Secretary of the Medical Benefits Scheme.<\/p>

\u201cWe are grateful that the MBS Board, under the auspices of the Hon. Sir Molwyn Joseph, has established a working partnership with the Calvin Ayre Foundation, where they are able to assist in areas that we are unable to bear the full financial responsibility.<\/p>

This is a testament to what can happen when public and private sectors join forces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneously, CalvinAir Helicopters activated a rapid-response medical transport operation, outfitting one of its aircraft for critical care and personally transporting the young boy and his parents \u2013 Leoma Prince and Gerald Bridgewater \u2013 to Martinique, under the watchful eye of Pediatrician, Dr. Tessy Fenton-Lee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

G \u2018Ani\u2019s parents expressed deep gratitude for the lifesaving support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are overwhelmed by the love and help we\u2019ve received,\u201d said G \u2018Ani\u2019s mother, Leoma Prince.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWords cannot express our thanks to the Calvin Ayre Foundation, CalvinAir Helicopters, and Medical Benefits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
