Maurice Merchant, Director General of Communications<\/a><\/strong>, told a Cabinet Press Briefing that poor communication remains a major challenge within government departments.<\/p>

\u201cCommunication is not effective \u2014 in some cases it\u2019s non-existent,\u201d he said.<\/p>

Merchant<\/a><\/strong> highlighted frustrations raised by Permanent Secretaries and Union Representatives about the lack of timely responses between departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo function effectively, the system must overcome this challenge,\u201d he added.<\/p>
