Foundation work on Antigua\u2019s <\/a><\/strong>new cruise terminal is 95 percent complete, according to Maintenance and Engineering Manager Bevon Burke. <\/p>

He provided the update during the Cruise Connect forum held Monday at the Treasury Building.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming 1,200-square-foot terminal will feature retail outlets, dining options, and upgraded passenger amenities to boost onshore spending. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, soft soil conditions have required deep piling through several geological layers, and recent heavy rains have further slowed progress.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Despite these challenges, port officials say they are on track to complete phase one of the Upland Development Project by November 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez also highlighted key projects supporting the cruise sector.<\/p>

Dredging at Crabb\u2019s Peninsula is expected to conclude by July 2025, while Chukka Caribbean continues work on the Fort Barrington development.<\/p>

With more cruise calls, enhanced facilities, and upgraded infrastructure, Antigua <\/a><\/strong>is positioning itself to capitalise on the continued growth of cruise tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
