Ambassador Lionel Hurst, Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Minister, is recovering well after being hospitalised earlier this week, the government has confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During Thursday\u2019s post-Cabinet media briefing, Director General of Communications Maurice Merchant, who stood in for Hurst, provided an update on his condition.<\/p>

\u201cFrom all reports, he\u2019s doing very well,\u201d Merchant said. \u201cThe nurses are smiling, so that means he is getting to his 100% top-tip shape.\u201d<\/p>

Hurst\u2019s temporary absence was noted at the start of the briefing, with Merchant assuring the public that he was in good spirits and receiving the necessary care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
