Education Minister Urges End to Hostile Union Relations<\/strong><\/p>

Education Minister Daryll Matthew has called for improved dialogue with the Antigua Barbuda Union of Teachers (ABUT), warning that the government \u201ccannot continue forward with this type of hostility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during Thursday\u2019s Parliament sitting, Matthew criticised the union\u2019s recent strike action, which disrupted public schools for a week. He described the move as excessive, especially since the issue of unpaid stipends did not affect primary school teachers.<\/p>
