Clement Joseph, a former police officer turned senior prosecutor, has been appointed Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s new Director of Public Prosecutions<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He will assume office on Monday, 19 May.<\/p>

Joseph, who is from Marigot, Dominica, brings regional experience to the post, having most recently served as DPP <\/a><\/strong>in the Turks and Caicos Islands. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

He previously worked in Dominica\u2019s prosecution service and was appointed acting DPP there in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He holds degrees in law and science, including an LLB with Honours, an LLM, a Legal Education Certificate and a BSc.<\/p>

His appointment follows the resignation of Anthony Armstrong, who stepped down amid misconduct allegations in Jamaica. Shannon Jones-Gittens had been acting DPP since Armstrong\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
