Antigua and Barbuda Launches Culinary Month with Star Chefs and Island Flavours<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antigua and Barbuda <\/a><\/strong>has kicked off its newly expanded Culinary Month<\/strong>, inviting food lovers to explore local dishes and global talent throughout May.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Launched by the Antigua and Barbuda<\/a><\/strong> Tourism Authority, the monthlong celebration builds on the island\u2019s annual culinary series and features a range of events spotlighting Caribbean cuisine.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Highlights include the revamped FAB Festival<\/strong> (Food, Art & Beverage), the Caribbean Food Forum<\/strong>, and Restaurant Week<\/strong>, which runs from May 4\u201322 with over 30 restaurants offering fixed-price menus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chefs and culinary experts of Caribbean heritage from the UK, US, and Canada\u2014including Andi Oliver, Kareem Roberts, and Althea Brown\u2014will collaborate with local chefs to present dining experiences, roti-making demos, and cultural exchanges.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is about celebrating who we are and what we\u2019ve built through food,\u201d said British chef Oliver, noting the creativity born from Caribbean culinary traditions. Brown, returning for a second year, added, \u201cI felt at home in Antigua<\/a><\/strong>\u2014so many dishes reminded me of Guyana.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than a dozen public events are planned, including a Mother\u2019s Day brunch at Blue Waters Resort featuring a hands-on roti demonstration. <\/p>

Visitors are also encouraged to \u201cEat Like A Local\u201d at island cookshops serving national favourites like pepperpot, fungee, goat water, and ducana.<\/p>
