Two men charged in connection with a gun and ammunition found in Sutherlands have been remanded in custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otinco Thomas of Clarehall and Roan Hector of Hatto<\/a>n <\/a><\/strong>appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Tuesday.<\/p>

Hector <\/a><\/strong>pleaded guilty to possession of a 9mm Taurus pistol and ten rounds of ammunition, while Thomas <\/a><\/strong>denied the charges.<\/p>

The incident took place on 27 April. Prosecutors said they intend to proceed to trial against Thomas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both men were denied bail. The case resumes on 27 August.<\/p>
