Renewal of Firearms License<\/strong><\/p>

The Commissioner of Police wishes to remind ALL licensed firearms<\/a><\/strong> users that their licenses become due and payable by 1st May each year, in accordance with Section 41, Subsection (4) of the Firearms Act, Chapter 171.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As part of the renewal process, firearm <\/a><\/strong>holders are required to present their firearms to the Licensing Officer at Police Headquarters between the hours of 8:30 am\u20131:00 pm, Monday through Friday, to be examined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No license will be granted without a physical examination of the firearms. Anyone failing to comply with this notice will have their licenses revoked and firearms confiscated.<\/p>

Meanwhile, police continue to urge the public to take advantage of the gun amnesty by voluntarily surrendering illegal firearms or ammunition without fear of arrest or prosecution at Police Headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
