SJDC Issues New Directive: Street Vending Banned in Key Areas of St. John\u2019s<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The St. John\u2019s Development Corporation (SJDC) has issued a notice to all vendors <\/a><\/strong>announcing that, effective April 17, 2025, all vending operations must relocate to designated areas within the vegetable section of the Public Market Complex. The complex includes both northern and southern sections and offers ninety (90) available spots for vendors.<\/p>

According to the notice signed by City Manager Carolyn Thomas-Parker, vending will no longer be allowed in the vicinity of the V.C. Bird Bust and Heroes Park, the Fisheries Complex, and Lower St. John\u2019s City. Sidewalk vending is also strictly prohibited.<\/p>

Vendors <\/a><\/strong>found operating outside of the authorized areas risk removal by the authorities. The SJDC emphasized the importance of cooperation in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
