We are living in a changing and turbulent world, where certainty is becoming a scarce resource.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While\u00a0the international situation is full of challenges, with\u00a0the multilateral trading system\u00a0being\u00a0hindered\u00a0and additional\u00a0tariffs\u00a0being imposed, the choices made by countries will determine the trajectory of our times and shape the future of the world.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0I would like to share here the choice made by China<\/a><\/strong>, which is, to bring much-needed\u00a0certainty to this uncertain world.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

On 28 March, President Xi Jinping\u00a0had a meeting\u00a0with more than 40 global\u00a0Chairmen and\u00a0Chief\u00a0Executive\u00a0Officers of foreign businesses as well as representatives of business councils in Beijing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting reiterated China\u2019s resolve to\u00a0open\u00a0wider at a high standard, its determination to share development opportunities with the rest of the world, and built a consensus that\u00a0\u201coasis of certainty\u201d\u00a0is China\u2019s <\/a><\/strong>calling card.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

China\u2019s door will only open wider.\u00a0The reform and opening-up over the past four decades in China has proven that the country\u2019s development benefits from foreign investments, at the same time, it provides a broad platform for foreign business\u2019\u00a0growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, China\u2019s economy grew by 5%, and consistently accounted for around 30% of global economic growth. For 2025, considering both domestic and international conditions, China has set its economic growth target at around 5%.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

China will remain steadfast on the right side of history, along with international enterprises that are sincere partners, further focus on cooperation, reject protectionism, and continue to be each other\u2019s development opportunities.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.\u201d\u00a0China\u2019s modernization\u00a0is not\u00a0\u201cfor China only\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While committed to improving the life\u00a0of\u00a0Chinese\u00a0people\u00a0by\u00a0domestic development, China is dedicated to enhancing\u00a0the\u00a0well-being\u00a0of people from other countries\u00a0through shared\u00a0development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0With high-quality development as\u00a0the\u00a0guiding principle, China is accelerating its transition toward green, digital, and intelligent\u00a0economy. From leading the global trend in new energy vehicles to empowering low-carbon development with green technologies, China\u2019s innovation follows an open philosophy of\u00a0\u201csharing\u00a0opportunities, sharing\u00a0benefits\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By unleashing the vast opportunities of our super-sized market and fostering a thriving innovation ecosystem, we will\u00a0join\u00a0hands\u00a0with\u00a0allpartners to uphold the multilateral trading system, stabilize global industrial and supply chains, and achieve mutual success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, we can turn the tide of challenges into a rising wave of shared prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a keen understanding of the\u00a0increasingly close\u00a0interdependence\u00a0among countries,\u00a0President Xi Jinping proposed building a community with a shared future for mankind\u00a0in September 2015\u00a0at the UN General Assembly, and called on all countries to transcend disagreements and differences, jointly protect our only planet, and develop together the global village as our common home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This great vision reflects not only the fine tradition of Chinese civilization that the world belongs to all, but also the internationalist commitment of Chinese nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
