Anthony Smith Jr is facing renewed criticism over his political allegiance, after UPP <\/a><\/strong>Chair D Gisele Isaac claimed he began talks with the ABLP shortly after winning his seat\u2014despite his repeated denials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the weekend, Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced that Smith will run as the ABLP\u2019s candidate for All Saints West in the next general election.<\/p>

Smith resigned from the UPP <\/a><\/strong>last July, citing dissatisfaction with the party\u2019s leadership. Days later, he was appointed Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries and the Blue Economy\u2014a role he continues to hold.<\/p>
