Health Minister Molwyn Joseph had commended Emergency Medeical<\/g> Technicians for what is called an improvement in their services.<\/p>

He said that there were a\nnumber of complaints in the public domain about the performance of the\nDepartment and he insisted that certain standards be met and changes made to improve its efficiency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The changes made include\nassessing the response time of calls and evaluating the performance of the\nEmergency Medical Technicians. <\/p>

He congratulated the Director\nof the ABEMS, Shawn Greenidge, \u201con the Department\u2019s improvements over the\nyears, especially 2018, where you have had an increase in the rate of calls and\nyou were able to maintain the standards. I commend you highly.\u201d<\/p>

Meanwhile, the Emergency\nMedical Services has named the top three Emergency Medical Services personnel. Tundae Bruce was awarded for being\nthe top Emergency Medical Technician among the Supervisors, Courtney Kellman\nstood out as the top performer of the Emergency Medical Technicians, and Iesha\nRussell was named as the runner-up for\nthe EMT\u2019s among the Supervisors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special mention was also made\nof Edgar Peters, Mawuli George and Kiefer Southwell for their outstanding\nperformances in 2018. <\/p>
