PM Highlights Youth Development Through Sports, Affirms Joel Rayne\u2019s Role<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister Gaston Browne<\/a><\/strong> has reaffirmed his administration\u2019s commitment to youth empowerment through sport, pointing to the appointment of Joel Rayne<\/a><\/strong> as Deputy Commissioner of Sports as a key example of that policy in action.<\/p>

Speaking on his weekly Pointe FM radio programme, Browne <\/a><\/strong>said Rayne\u2019s elevation reflects the government\u2019s broader goal of preparing the next generation for leadership. \u201cJoel Rayne<\/a> is a bright, competent young man, and this appointment is part of a deliberate strategy to create opportunities for youth,\u201d the Prime Minister stated.<\/p>

He stressed that the Ministry of Sports is not only tasked with enhancing athletic performance but also with cultivating leadership and social development. \u201cWe see sport as a developmental tool\u2014not just for competition, but for discipline, character building, and even as an export industry,\u201d Browne said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister also underscored the importance of creating more pathways for young professionals within government agencies. \u201cWe have to empower our young people and give them meaningful roles. That\u2019s the only way to ensure sustainability,\u201d he added.<\/p>
