His appointment marks a significant shift from media to public service, but Rayne says the underlying mission remains the same: uplifting people through teamwork and dedication.<\/p>

Whatever capacity the Prime Minister and his Cabinet see fit for me to serve in\u2014if it\u2019s about helping move this country forward in nation building and community building\u2014I\u2019m for it.\u201d<\/p>

Rayne will now support Commissioner of Sports Sir Richie Richardson, the legendary former West Indies cricket captain and current ICC match commissioner. \u201cIn any way I can support, I will,\u201d Rayne said. \u201cWe\u2019ve heard the Minister mention the importance of sports tourism, and that\u2019s an area I\u2019d like to see developed further. I also want to focus on community initiatives\u2014field development, athlete support, and ensuring young talents can progress even when funding is a challenge.\u201d<\/p>

A member of the National Olympic Committee, Rayne brings a wealth of experience in sports administration, media, and public engagement. He noted that issues like nutrition, equipment, and access to proper training facilities are often overlooked but essential to developing world-class athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rayne\u2019s recent political journey also revealed his commitment to unity and collaboration. After narrowly losing the St. George primary to Michael Freeland by just 331 votes, he immediately extended congratulations to Freeland and pledged his full support.<\/p>
