The leader of the Dominican community in Antigua and Barbuda, Alex Mart\u00ednez, has called for a fair and transparent investigation into the recent murder of a nine-year-old girl, urging authorities to focus on identifying those truly responsible rather than placing blame on an entire community.<\/p>

In a Facebook Live address, originally delivered in Spanish and translated, Mart\u00ednez expressed deep sorrow over the crime and reaffirmed the Dominican community’s condemnation of such acts. However, he also raised concerns about growing anti-Dominican sentiment following reports that a Dominican national may be implicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur community is being dragged into this when the actions of one person should not define an entire group. If someone commits a crime, they alone must face justice,\u201d he stated. \u201cWe demand answers, but we also demand fairness. Justice must be served, but it must be served properly.\u201d<\/p>
