Oh what a joy you were,<\/p>

Little girl!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To your mommy and daddy,<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

You WERE the whole world.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

On your day of birth,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You were loved and accepted,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You never knew rejection;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dark skinned, sun kissed, gorgeous princess,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your little spirit must know,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That you were the best, in the WEST Indies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baby girl Chantel?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want you to know, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your name is now known across these deep blue seas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You were a joy to be around,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your smiles and laughter,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brought us joy and equal laughter resounding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your were articulate and brilliant,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A smart Caribbean black girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your teachers loved you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The way you were taken will surely leave them blue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue like the skies,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the day you were taken from our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We searched and fretted for you,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We prayed and met with each other for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In solidarity we clamored together in your name,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your soul must know you are now exuding with fame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your innocence will always protected!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By this nation of people,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will never be rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will love you into the next existence,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will stand with your parents in love and offer them assistance with their pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no balm to soothe,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A child stolen and crudely removed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From our lives, Unfairly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We promise to fight daily,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until real justice is served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is in our best interest to preserve,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of your rights!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your right to life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your rights to dreams unfounded,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And love abounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your right to grow, your right to flourish and become,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The great Dancer or the holiest nun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A politician,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Farmer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Police Woman who Carries a big gun?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your right to become is what will fight for and replace with, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A deep rememberance of who you were little girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your are now Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s whole world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And will always be.<\/p>\n
