Dear Editor,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After skipping a crucial parliamentary debate to play mas in Trinidad, shameless Shugy has suddenly found his voice\u2014on social media, at least. Now, he sees everything that needs to be done in his constituency, flooding his page with a barrage of posts. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n\n\n\n

But where was this energy when he had the chance to raise these concerns in Parliament, where real action could be taken?<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Simon\u2019s absence wasn\u2019t just about missing a single sitting; he chose Carnival over representing the people of St. Mary\u2019s South on key legislation affecting the nation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yet, his party, the United Progressive Party (UPP<\/a><\/strong>), has remained silent. Not a word of accountability, not even an acknowledgment of his neglect. It begs the question: Is this really a party with no standards?<\/p>

If the UPP <\/a><\/strong>wants to be taken seriously, it must demand better from its representatives. Otherwise, it is sending a clear message\u2014one that says its members are free to abandon their duties without consequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
