Prime Minister Gaston Browne has reaffirmed his administration\u2019s commitment to supporting Rastafarian<\/a> farmers<\/strong> in expanding food production, recognizing their significant role in agriculture and food security<\/strong>.<\/p>

Speaking on the Browne and Browne Show<\/strong>, the Prime Minister pledged government assistance in improving water access, mechanization, and overall agricultural infrastructure<\/strong> to help the Rastafarian community increase productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Rastafarian community has long been involved in agriculture, and we are committed to ensuring they have the necessary resources to scale up,\u201d<\/strong> Browne stated. \u201cWe will be providing access to irrigation, wells, and other key infrastructure to improve food production.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>

He emphasized that expanding agricultural output is a national priority<\/strong>, especially as Antigua and Barbuda seek to reduce reliance on imported food.<\/p>

Browne revealed that his government is working with the Ministry of Agriculture and APUA<\/strong> to increase irrigation and well access<\/strong> for farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne of the major challenges for farmers is reliable water access. We are taking steps to ensure that the Rastafarian community, along with other farmers, has improved irrigation and access to well water,\u201d<\/strong> he said.<\/p>

He added that the government will also assist with mechanization efforts<\/strong> to enhance efficiency and reduce the reliance on manual labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister urged Rastafarians and other local farmers<\/strong> to take advantage of government programs designed to strengthen food security and economic resilience<\/strong>.<\/p>
