The National Student Council of Antigua and Barbuda<\/strong><\/a> (NSCAB) has\u00a0 officially elected its first executive body following the High Council meeting held on Tuesday\u00a0 11th <\/sup>January, 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results mark a new chapter in student representation and governance,\u00a0 with student leaders from various education institutions across the country assuming key\u00a0 positions.\u00a0<\/p>

Ti-Ikha Edwards of Clare Hall Secondary has been elected as the President<\/strong>, securing 33\u00a0 confidence votes.<\/p>

The Vice President <\/strong>role will be held by Carlique Tobias from the Antigua\u00a0 Grammar School, while Nickquane Theodore of Princess Margaret School has been named\u00a0 General Secretary<\/strong>. Other elected officials include:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Executive received training on advocacy and administration on the 20th <\/sup>February 2025  at the National Public Library. During the session the team received courtesy calls from the  Honourable Minister of Education, Daryll Matthew and Director of Education Clare Browne.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Student Council will serve as a platform for students to engage in democratic\u00a0 leadership, ensuring their voices are heard on issues affecting education and student welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0 newly elected Executive Council is committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive student\u00a0 governance system across Antigua and Barbuda.\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Steering Committee extends its congratulations to all elected members and looks forward to\u00a0 working alongside them to empower the student body.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
