In the wake of the tragic loss of 28-year-old farmer Delroy Victor, the Antigua and Barbuda <\/a><\/strong>Holistic Coalition (ABHC) and the Wadadli Initiative for Self-Care and Healing (WISH) have collaborated to launch a comprehensive Suicide Awareness and Safety Planning Guide<\/strong>.<\/p>

This resource aims to provide immediate support and practical tools for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts, as well as guidance for their loved ones and the broader community.<\/p>

The guide offers a structured approach to managing crises, including personalized safety planning, identification of warning signs, coping strategies, and a directory of emergency contacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It emphasizes the importance of proactive mental health care and seeks to foster open discussions about depression and suicide prevention.<\/p>

Cerene Prince, Licensed Psychotherapist and Founder of ABHC, expressed, “First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the young man who tragically lost his life to suicide, as well as to the many others who have faced the same fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As individuals, communities, and a nation, we need to take significant steps toward raising awareness and improving mental health care.<\/p>

Now that we are recognizing and discussing mental health issues, it is crucial to move beyond conversation and take concrete actions to address these challenges.”<\/p>
