Dear Editor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My girlfriend has been raped by her father continuously and it is affecting our entire life. She said it started when she was 15 and she is now 21.<\/p>

She never told anyone, but during intercourse, she would place her hands over her face. When I asked her why she did that she told me what happened. We went to the police, but they did not act on it.<\/p>

She is now too ashamed to pursue the matter but it is affecting our lives. This has damaged her and I don\u2019t know where to go or what to do. I am hoping by placing this in the media her father will see the damage he has caused his child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to make this woman my wife one day but the damage done will clearly affect the way going forward.<\/p>

I am also concerned about our legal system. She went to the police and made a report yet her father has not been arrested. This man also has a younger daughter and I am scared he may have done and could be doing this to this poor girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe his sister or cousin is a police officer and I am unclear whether this is why he wasn\u2019t arrested.<\/p>

I have asked my girlfriend to continue to pursue it but the shame is preventing her. I don\u2019t know if using Antigua.news forum will help at all. I came here because I saw similar stories about matters like this right here.<\/p>
