Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s Ambassador to the United States, Sir Ron Sanders, has confirmed that one Antiguan has been deported from the U.S., while another remains in custody awaiting a court hearing.<\/p>

According to Ambassador Sanders, as of his last update before February 7, two Antiguans were in U.S. immigration detention. One of them was deported on February 7, while the other is awaiting legal proceedings that will determine whether they will be deported or remain in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambassador Sanders also addressed claims that 110 Antiguans and Barbudans are listed as \u201cnon-detained and ready for deportation.\u201d However, when he inquired about the whereabouts of these individuals, an official from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reportedly responded, \u201cI don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>
