The project, announced by Minister of Agriculture Hon. Anthony Smith during a recent press conference on food security, is aimed at providing a sustainable water supply for farmers, particularly during the dry season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water availability remains one of the biggest challenges facing Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s agricultural sector. Farmers often struggle to irrigate their crops during prolonged droughts, leading to reduced yields and increased dependence on imported food. <\/p>
