Your proposal of collecting an additional $100.00 for the licensing of vehicles is quite timely. Our roads are atrocious and perhaps, they are the worse throughout the region.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Now Mr. PM, I can clearly understand that your view of the proposed\u00a0 amount for the increase may be considered miniscule,\u00a0 however, for those of us who are in the low income bracket,\u00a0 the increase will certainly be an additional burden on our pockets. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps a system like Personal Income Tax should be considered for this exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be that as it is, I would like to go out on the limb and speak for those persons who are in the same  low income bracket as I am, that we will certainly make that sacrifice of paying the additional $100.00, as long as your promise to the nation of providing  us with proper & better roads throughout the island, is kept and simultaneously, we will get value for our money.<\/p>

At this time, the quote from one of America’s great president comes to mind ” It is not solely what the country can do for us but what we can do for our country “<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I coclude, I am hoping that the increase of collections will also include those persons such as mechanics and owners of abandoned vehicles who conveniently have derilct vehicles parked along the road causing health hazards and havoc to traffic flow.<\/p>

It is full time that ALL vehicles engaging the public road are taxed, whether or not the vehicles are usable. Such practice is been done in the Metropolitan countries, so why can’t it be done here?<\/p>
