he UWI Five Islands Campus Welcomes Minister of Housing and Works for Campus Visit<\/p>

Minister of Housing and Works, Hon. Maria Browne, conducted an extensive visit to The University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus today, demonstrating the government’s continued support of higher education infrastructure in Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her visit, Minister Browne, accompanied by Senator the Hon. Clement Antonio, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and <\/a>Works, engaged in substantive discussions with the campus’s Senior Management Team. The delegation conducted a comprehensive tour of the facilities, paying particular attention to ongoing upgrade works and identifying areas where the Ministry could provide additional support to bolster student comfort.<\/p>

The visit also highlighted the government’s interest in the campus’s expansion plans. Minister Browne assessed various areas requiring repair work and explored potential contributions her ministry could make to enhance the existing infrastructure.<\/p>

In a show of support for higher education, Minister Browne reaffirmed the government’s commitment to The UWI and its role in developing human capital across Antigua and Barbuda and the wider Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). She noted the administration’s recognition of the vital role the Five Islands Campus plays in fostering educational advancement in the country and region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campus visit reflects the ongoing collaboration between the government of Antigua and Barbuda and The UWI in strengthening educational infrastructure to meet the growing needs of students and faculty alike.
