This past weekend, the Central Board of Health, with the assistance of a professional translator, hosted an informative food safety training session for the owners and staff of Chinese restaurants across the country.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The session which was attended by over 40 food handlers was focused on essential food safety practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the training, emphasis was placed on the “Five Keys to Safe Food” \u2014 which include:
\u2022 Keep Clean: Emphasizing proper hygiene and cleanliness in food handling areas.
\u2022 Separate Raw and Cooked Foods: Preventing cross-contamination by keeping raw foods separate from ready-to-eat meals.
\u2022 Cook Thoroughly: Ensuring that all foods are cooked to the correct internal temperature.
\u2022 Keep Food at Safe Temperatures: Maintaining hot foods at the appropriate temperature and refrigerating perishable items promptly.
\u2022 Use Safe Water and Safe Materials: Highlighting the importance of clean water and food-grade materials in food preparation.<\/p>

The goal of the training was to ensure that all staff within the food service industry are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain high food safety standards. <\/p>
