Born on the historic Betty\u2019s Hope Estate on December 28, 1920, Goodwin\u2019s life reflects resilience, faith, and hard work. Although official records list her birth date as January 10, 1921, due to delayed registration practices, she proudly celebrates her December birthday. From walking miles to learn sewing in St. John\u2019s to becoming a revered seamstress creating wedding gowns and Carnival Queen costumes, Goodwin has left an indelible mark on her community.<\/p>
