Wickham, speaking on state media, described the election as a measure of the party’s enduring influence. He highlighted the importance of independent voters who supported the late Asot Michael, noting their decision could determine the outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A loss, he remarked, would signal a significant decline in the ABLP’s dominance in the constituency, which had long been considered a party stronghold before Michael\u2019s historic win as an independent candidate in the last general election.<\/p>
