Sir\nMcChesney George Secondary School, Invitation for Bids <\/em><\/strong><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda (GOAB) has\nsecured financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) towards the cost of\nthe Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Loan (RRL)<\/strong> and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this\nfinancing to eligible payments under this contract.  Payment by CDB will be made only at the\nrequest of GOAB and upon approval by CDB, and will be subject, in all respects,\nto the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement.  The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal\nfrom the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or\nentities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the\nknowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security\nCouncil taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.  No party other than GOAB shall derive any\nrights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RRL Project<\/strong>\nis being implemented by the Ministry of Education through its Planning Unit<\/strong>. The overall objective of\nthe project is improved access, quality\nand effectiveness of early childhood development and basic education in Antigua\nand Barbuda<\/em>. The Ministry of Education has contracted Consultants who will\nassist the Contractor with delivering the Project. The Consultants have\nprepared designs and contract documentation and will assist in tender\nadministration and evaluation and supervise Project activities. <\/p>

The Ministry of Education, Planning Unit, now\ninvites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Antigua and Barbuda\nRehabilitation and  Reconstruction Loan\n(RRL): Sir McChesney George Secondary School. \nThe works include, but are not limited to the following: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SIR. MC\nCHESNEY GEORGE SECONDARY<\/strong><\/p>

  1. Construction\nof a new two-story building block featuring: administration spaces, four (4)\nclassrooms, and a library. A new kitchen and dining block will also be\nconstructed.<\/li>
  2. The upgrade, rehabilitation and remodelling of\nexisting spaces within the school.<\/li>
  3. Civil works\nto the site to include drainage, sanitation and parking.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Consideration will be limited to firms or joint ventures of firms,\nwhich are legally incorporated or otherwise organised in, and have their\nprincipal place of business in an eligible country and are either:<\/p>
