Speaking during the 2025 budget debate in the Senate, Senator Johnson said the current lack of proper signage makes it difficult for residents and tourists to navigate.<\/p>

\u201cThere is no way in 2024 people are still telling me that they don\u2019t know the difference between Freetown, Newfield, and St. Phillips, much less the visitor who comes to Antigua to head to Willikies but ends up in Freeman\u2019s Village,\u201d she said.<\/p>

The senator proposed the introduction of clear overhead signs and uniform roadside signage to address these issues. She noted that such improvements would enhance public safety, make navigation easier, and contribute to the country\u2019s aesthetics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAntigua and Barbuda is paradise, and it must look and feel as such,\u201d she said.<\/p>
