The Motion Picture\nAssociation of Antigua and Barbuda is set to host a major film event as the association\nseeks to boost efforts to revitalize indigenous film making. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

On December 1,\n2018, World AIDS Day, the Antigua and Barbuda Film Academy, an arm of the\nMotion Picture Association, will stage the first in a series of events dubbed\n\u201cRed Wine and a Movie\u201d. This event takes place at the Caribbean Cinemas at 6pm.\nWorld renowned AIDS activist and treatment specialist Dr. Sir Prince Ramsey<\/em><\/strong>\nwill be the guest of honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This red carpet\nevent will premiere the Film\nAcademy\u2019s latest production titled \u2018The\nLil Rude Bowys \/Girls\u2019. <\/em>The feature length film, which is based on a book\nof the same title was written, produced and directed by students of the Antigua\nFilm Academy. Earlier this year \u2018The<\/em> Lil Rude Bowys\/Girls<\/em>\u2019 made its premiere\nin Canada where it was well received.<\/p>

The event aims to raise funds to offset expenses for\nthe 2019 hosting of the Antigua & Barbuda Film Academy, which is a summer\nfilm school in which interested persons are taught the essentials of digital\nfilmmaking. <\/p>

Tickets for the \u201cRed Wine and a\nMovie\u201d event are available at a\ncost of $50.00EC.  Pledges and\nsponsorships can also be made to the association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the Motion Picture Association of Antigua\nand Barbuda recently elected a new executive. The executive members are as\nfollows:\n<\/p>
