Speaking during the Senate debate on the 2025 budget, Senator Newton said \u201cscreaming and shouting\u201d do not amount to effective communication and urged the opposition to adopt a more constructive approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The senator\u2019s comments came as he defended the government\u2019s record on key issues, including water management and economic development. <\/p>

He highlighted the administration\u2019s efforts to address the country\u2019s longstanding water challenges, citing investments of over $150m USD in infrastructure and improvements to desalination plants.<\/p>
