The Ministry of Social\nTransformation, in collaboration with international fatherhood programme Deeds\nDriven Dads, held its first career training for at-risk boys under the theme \u201cI\nWill Be Successful\u201d at the Antigua and Barbuda National Public Library on Thursday\n19th<\/sup> November 2018. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the programme is to\nprovide boys from disadvantaged circumstances an opportunity to improve their\nchances of career success, change negative behaviours, promote positive values,\nand highlight and the skills and abilities of these at-risk youth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants include boys\nbetween the ages of 13-18 from the Boys Training School and the Foster Care\nProgramme. <\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n\n\n\n

During the initial training\nsession, the boys were given hands on training and instructions on how to \u201cDress\nFor Success\u201d, including an interactive session on how to tie a tie, as well as\ncareer and motivational advice.  <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The training will continue with\nsessions on topics such as resume and cover letter writing, conducting\ninterviews, and proper workplace etiquette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
