Foundation (CAF) joins the family and friends of Junior James in celebrating his remarkable recovery journey, as he celebrates his 58<sup>th<\/sup> birthday on December 12<sup>th<\/sup>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Junior, a resident of Antigua and Barbuda, has returned home after a series of life-saving medical interventions, thanks to the unwavering support of the Foundation. He spent 12 days in the intensive care unit (ICU) as his medical team worked to stabilize his heart\u2019s ventricles, which were not functioning in unison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite their efforts, one ventricle was only operating at 48-66% efficiency, while the other remained non-functional. This led to the difficult decision to proceed with a second surgery to implant a pacemaker. However, the support from CAF provided them with hope. <strong><em>\u201cThe Calvin Ayre Foundation\u2019s support has been our rock throughout this process, enabling Junior to receive the care he needed and allowing us to stay together during this challenging time.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Junior echoed Kate\u2019s sentiments. <strong><em>\u201cWithout the Calvin Ayre Foundation, I wouldn\u2019t have made it this far.
