MP Richard Lewis of St John\u2019s Rural West has criticized the 2025 Budget presented by Prime Minister Gaston Browne, describing it as unrealistic and disconnected from the realities faced by Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>

\u201cIf revenues have doubled, it should be evident in better roads, first-class healthcare, and education, but that\u2019s not the case,\u201d Lewis stated. While acknowledging government efforts in various sectors, he argued that much more needs to be done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lewis also advocated for a constituency development fund to empower elected officials and create a level playing field for both government and opposition MPs. He highlighted how such a fund could prevent opposition MPs from being unable to serve constituents effectively due to a lack of resources.<\/p>
