Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle has accused the government of political victimization following the termination of his long-standing contract with the Solid Waste Management Authority (SWMA). <\/p>

Speaking during his budget response in Parliament, Pringle said the loss of income from the contract has impacted his ability to serve his constituency effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although he refrained from delving into the specifics of the termination, Pringle described the experience as emblematic of broader inequities in the allocation of government resources.<\/p>

Pringle previously held a contract with the NSWMA to collect dead animals, including dogs. The government ended the agreement, citing concerns over what they described as inconsistencies and excesses in his billing practices. <\/p>

Pringle has consistently denied any wrongdoing, claiming the termination was politically motivated and a deliberate attempt to undermine his work as a representative for All Saints East and St. Luke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey fired me, and things are still happening in All Saints East and St. Luke because I am not a quitter,\u201d Pringle said during his speech. \u201cWhen there\u2019s a will, there\u2019s a way.\u201d<\/p>

Pringle suggested the government\u2019s actions were part of a pattern of targeting opposition members and limiting their access to resources for political gain.
