CABINET NOTES- The Honorable Prime Minister, Gaston Browne,\u00a0reported to Cabinet on his recent trip to The Hague in the Netherlands to address the International Court of Justice (ICJ). <\/strong><\/p>

The Prime Minister expounded on the matter of a request for the Court to provide an advisory opinion on the Obligations of States in respect of Climate Change on Small Island Developing States (SIDS); and the response to the vulnerability to the adverse effects of climate change due to their geographical circumstances and level of development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister Browne reminded the Cabinet that Antigua and Barbuda has taken global leadership on this matter and continues to be an advocate for climate justice, notwithstanding the enormity of the fight against large carbon emitters.<\/p>
