TheCaribbean like the Latin Americas has been affected by the cancerous effect ofCuban Marxist-Leninist indoctrination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nCubans for many decades have tried to convert the whole of the Americas and the\nCaribbean to their very nasty political system. Training terrorists in both\nCuba and on their home soils, they just renamed the terrorist\u2019s \u2018freedom\nfighters\u2019. Supplying them with arms, ammunition and technical knowhow. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Terrorism\ncan be defined as political action employing extraordinarily violent means to\nachieve the mostly psychological effect of intimidation and demoralization of a\nnation\u2019s government and its populace. Terrorism is a weapon of the weak, used\nby groups and individuals who have little conventional military power.<\/p>

Castro\u2019s\nCuba was little more than a puppet of the Russian USSR starting when Castro\nasked for help from the Soviets, and in response, Khrushchev approved the\ntemporary purchase of Cuban sugar. After the establishment of diplomatic ties\nwith the Soviet Union after the Cuban Revolution of 1959, Cuba became\nincreasingly dependent on Soviet markets and military aid, becoming a willing\nally of the Soviet Union during the Cold War. The Russians now had a foothold\nand a partner in the USA\u2019s backyard, the Caribbean and Latin Americas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Khrushchev\napproved the temporary purchase of Cuban sugar in exchange for Soviet fuel.\nThis deal was to play a part in sustaining the Cuban economy for many years to\ncome. Following the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion of 1961, Fidel Castro announced\npublicly that Cuba was to become a socialist republic. Khrushchev sent\ncongratulations to Castro for repelling the invasion but privately believed the\nAmericans would soon bring the weight of their regular army to bear. The\ndefense of Cuba became a matter of prestige for the Soviet Union, and\nKhrushchev believed that the U.S. would block all access to the island whether\nby sea or air.<\/p>

Khrushchev\nagreed on a deployment plan in May 1962 chiefly in response to NATO positioning\ntheir nuclear missiles in Turkey in 1958, and by late July over sixty Soviet\nships were en route to Cuba, some of them already carrying military material. A\nU.S. U-2 flight on the morning of October 14 photographed a series of SAM\n(surface-to-air missile) sites being constructed. In a televised address on\nOctober 22, U.S. President John F. Kennedy announced the discovery of the\ninstallations and proclaimed that any nuclear missile attack from Cuba would be\nregarded as an attack by the Soviet Union and would be responded to\naccordingly. Khrushchev sent letters to Kennedy on October 23 and 24 claiming\nthe deterrent nature of the missiles in Cuba and the peaceful intentions of the\nSoviet Union. On October 26, the Soviets offered to withdraw the missiles in\nreturn for a U.S. guarantee not to invade Cuba or support any invasion and to\nremove all missiles set in southern Italy and Turkey. This deal was accepted,\nand the crisis abated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nmissile crisis had a significant impact on the countries involved. While it led\nto a thaw in U.S.-Soviet relations, it further strained Cuban-Soviet relations.\nCastro was not consulted throughout the Kennedy-Khrushchev negotiations and was\nangered by the unilateral Soviet withdrawal of the missiles and bombers. The\nPeople’s Republic of China likewise expressed concern about the outcome.<\/p>

In\n1972 Cuba joined the COMECON, an economic organization of states designed to\ncreate cooperation among the socialist planned economies dominated by the\nmassive economy of the Soviet Union. Moscow kept in regular contact with\nHavana, sharing varying close relations until the collapse of the bloc in 1991.\nAfter the demise of the Soviet Union, Cuba entered an era of economic hardship\nknown as the Special Period in Time of Peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nCubans were deeply involved in international conflicts in Nicaragua and Angola\non behalf of Russia. Cuba was fighting wars on behalf of Russia as their\nnominees, the Russians hoping that Cuba would mask the fact that these were\nRussian interventions and wars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nRussians needed a foothold in the Countries of the Eastern Caribbean group of\nislands and through Cuba, once again acting as the Russians nominees and front-man\norganization. The Cubans already had a man that they had long been training\nsince his introduction in London to the Cubans by the Russians. That man at the\ntime was studying and working in London and was a member of the British\nCommunist Party, his name was Maurice Bishop, a newly passed lawyer, a man\neager to serve communism and the Cubans, a man who later with the help of the\nCubans became the revolutionary leader of his homeland Caribbean island of\nGrenada. Bishop attracted all the Marxist and communist scum from the other\nCaribbean islands, Ralph Gonsalves of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines among\nthem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After\nthe fall of communism and the Soviet Union, Cuba maintained and built up\nrelationships with other Latin American neighbors and non-aligned countries, as\nthe only Marxist nation within the Western Hemisphere they went to work seriously\nto try and convert whomever they could to their Marxist-Leninist doctrine. With\nno financial help now from Russia they had been for years indoctrinating and\ntraining selected receptive young students from the Americas and the Caribbean\nislands attending universities in Cuba. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chile,\nCuba contributed significantly to the erosion of Chiles democratic institutions\nunder Salvador Allende.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El\nSalvador’s Elections. Cuban trained and supported guerrillas and terrorists\nattempted to wreck the March 20, 1988, legislative and mayoral elections with\nthe bomb and the bullet, just as they had six years earlier when Salvadorans\nwent to the polls in that country’s first free election. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panama,\nin the same month, planeloads of Cuban arms was flown into the country. This\ndevelopment was fraught with peril to Panamanians and Americans. The arms,\napparently cached in secret locations around the country. They also wanted to\noverthrow the democratic leader Jose Napoleon Duarte of El Salvador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Venezuela,\nthe Cubans supplied trained terrorists to try and overthrow the democratic\nleader Romulo Betancourt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nDominican Republic, the Cubans supplied trained terrorists to try and overthrow\nthe military dictatorship of General Rafael Trujillo of the Dominican Republic.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nCubans knew the outbreak of even low-level terrorism in a country unused to\nserious violence could destabilize already fragile, strategically vital nation\neven more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nCastro regime is responsible for decades of sponsoring terrorism around and in\nthe Americas and the Caribbean. Castro\u2019s targets for subversion and terrorism\nhad certainly been Venezuela and its leader Romulo Betancourt. So when Hugo\nChavez came to power via a military coup, Fidel Castro could not believe his\nluck. It got better because the first thing Chavez did was to make contact with\nthe Castro regime and ask for help<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today\nthe Cubans are still at it, but they have learned that violent terrorism does\nnot work and is a slow process starting at the roots of the societies they wish\nto influence. They discovered as early as the 1980\u2019s that it was better to\nstart at the head and work their way down than start at the root and try and\ngrow heavy foliage. So no terrorists hiding in the jungles and isolated\nvillages, at the other end of the scale no tanks on the streets either. No\nmurders of politicians, merely a quiet, and soft velvet revolution and the\ncapture of the minds of the ignorant and control of the recipient countries by\na more scientific method of command starting with the heads. Almost all the\nheads of state are in those positions by Cuban intervention, or self worship of\nthe Cuban system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuban\ncancer eventually spread to Venezuela when their leader Hugo Chavez sold their\nsovereignty to Cuba, on the understanding that Cuba and Venezuela would become\none state \u2018The Bolivarian State of Cubzuela.\u2019 Fidel and his brother were\nnearing the end of their lives, and Fidel promised Chavez that he would be the\npresident of Cubzuela. Fidel Castro is a very clever old man with a lawyer\ntrained background molded the almost childlike Chavez like putty, Chavez was a\nmile behind in intelligence. Castro\u2019s Cuban think tank invented a new method of\ninitial alliance and called it ALBA. A name that captured the politically\nimmature mind of Hugo Chavez who was now well and truly hooked, a Castro\npez.  When it was launched, ALBA had only\ntwo member states, Venezuela and Cuba. The idea was hatched by Fidel Castro and\nsold to Hugo Chavez. The overall plan was to capture the Latin Americas and\nCaribbean island governments and people without using Cuba\u2019s usual route of\ntraining terrorists and causing guerrilla warfare to try and bring about\nrevolution. Cuba is a known Marxist-Leninist style communist state, and that is\nwhat Chavez had by now introduced to Venezuela. Castro and Chavez went about\nforming the ALBA organization. Unlike the previous Marxist-Leninist style of\ncommunism, the economic model espoused by ALBA is based loosely on a Trotskyite\nversion of communism outlined by the Mexican academic Heinz Dieterich (who\nwrote the book on 21st Century Socialism). ALBA is an explicitly\nanti-capitalist group. Five \u201csocialist\u201d Latin American nations\u2013Venezuela,\nNicaragua, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Cuba, with Suriname, admitted to ALBA as a\nguest. The supporting institution of this movement, the Bolivarian Alliance\n(Alianza Bolivariana para Los Pueblos de Nuestra Am\u00e9rica), or ALBA. The\nCaribbean countries who are also members of ALBA, Antigua and Barbuda,\nDominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts, and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and\nthe Grenadines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fidel\nCastro was disappointed when Hugo Chavez died, but all democracies in the\nhemisphere cheered when he died and also again later when Fidel Castro,\nfortunately, died as well. Providentially for Castro before he died saw the\nLatin Americas chief scumbag, Nicolas Maduro, a Cuban university trained\nMarxist- Leninist communist take the Venezuelan dictatorship and commence to\ndrive out all the upper and middle class citizens, hopefully on their part\nleaving Venezuela with just a peasant class, the same is happening in a smaller\nway in all ALBA member countries [including Saint Vincent and the\nGrenadines].  However, things have not\ngone well with the Venezuelan revolution; the Cubans had to send in their\nspecial forces \u2018Black Wasps\u2019 to snipe and kill rioting students.  So after Cuba had sucked out vast volumes of\nbelow-cost oil from Venezuela, the Cubzuela option was taken off the table. It\nmerely became a none starter on the death of Hugo Chavez which was further\ncompounded on the death of Fidel Castro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many\nof the Caribbean islands governorships had come from the democratic democracy\nloving United Kingdom. However, Cuba intended to change all that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\ncurrent threats to democracy are well-camouflaged, despite no more tanks in the\nstreets or rebel armies threatening to seize power, or insurgents and\nterrorism. Instead, Cuban influenced elected leaders are taking office and\nsteadily eroding democratic freedoms, erasing the separation of powers, turning\nthe judiciary into an arm of the executive and securing an unquestioning rubber\nstamp in the legislature. The newly elected autocrats, in countries like Venezuela,\nare extending their terms of office, undercutting political discourse and\nbenefiting from entrenched corruption. That corruption is both a cause and an\neffect of the undemocratic wave. In the face of vast numbers of sitting\npresidents and vice presidents and even prime ministers and other politicians\nacross the region found to have taken bribes, along with the parade of former\nheads of state indicted and convicted, many Caribbean\u2019s and Latin Americans are\nlosing faith in the system. In every Caribbean and Latin American country, less\nthan one-third of respondents said things are getting better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electoral\nfraud, sometimes referred to as election manipulation or vote rigging, is\nillegal interference with the process of an election, either by increasing the\nvote share of the favored candidate, depressing the vote share of the rival\ncandidates, or both. In the ALBA countries, every election is rigged. Saint\nVincent and the Grenadines and Venezuela are good exhibits, but they are all at\nit. The Cuban training school for vote rigging has trained election officials,\npoliticians and police officers in how to rig the voting system in their own\ncountries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\nis undeniable while the current march towards totalitarian states and communism\nby the rulers and leaders and particularly by ALBA member countries such as\nSaint Vincent and the Grenadines and the Gonsalves dynasty things look bleak\nfor struggling people whose lot has got worse by the minute. Of course, it is\nmany times worse in Venezuela. However, it\u2019s a common trait throughout the ALBA\nmembership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
