Reflecting on the ordeal, Sir Rodney shared that Lady Williams faced a critical health crisis while on an official trip to China representing Antigua and Barbuda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLady Williams and I are grateful for the outpouring of empathy and well wishes which were received following the medical crisis during Her Excellency\u2019s recent trip to represent Antigua and Barbuda at the conference,\u201d he said.<\/p>

The Governor General commended the skill and responsiveness of Chinese surgeons and medical personnel, whose actions proved decisive in ensuring a positive outcome. <\/p>

\u201cWe are both thankful for the expertise of the surgeons and other medical personnel in China, whose swift action ensured that her life was saved,\u201d he added, noting the life-saving care provided during a moment of immense difficulty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir Rodney also acknowledged the invaluable support of the diplomatic missions involved. \u201cI wish to also express profound appreciation to the Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China in Antigua and Barbuda, and the Antigua and Barbuda Embassy based in Beijing, for their caring and considerate intervention,\u201d he said.<\/p>
