Bench Warrant Issued in High-Value Wig Theft Case<\/strong><\/p>

A bench warrant has been issued for Moesha Wright, one of two women charged in a $127,675 wig theft case, after she failed to appear for committal proceedings yesterday. Her co-accused, Natherna Rodgers, was present in court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Magistrate Dexter Wason, who noted Wright’s attendance at a previous hearing on September 12, postponed the proceedings to January 29, 2025.<\/p>

Wright and Rodgers, both of Bishopsgate Street, face charges of receiving stolen goods tied to the March 2024 burglary of Everything Hair 268 on Old Parham Road, where over 100 wigs and hair products were stolen.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Police investigations also implicated Jahshsiene Green, who pleaded guilty to receiving wigs valued at $2,120 and was fined $700 after stolen items were found at her home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the high monetary value of the stolen goods, Wright and Rodgers’ case will be heard in the High Court.<\/p>
