Airport Authority in confusion once again – No more contract renewal for Director of Security <\/p>

After being on the job for just four months, the new Trinidadian born CEO (former Grenada International Airport CEO) Ms Wendy Williams advised Director of Security Avery Henry that his services would no longer be needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 This act, has now opened a door of confusion, uncertainty and questions particularly since the information relating to his departure has been kept a tight secret from airport stakeholders and employees.   <\/p>

In instance like this, notification is given however, on Sunday evening HR Manger Moya Thomas sent an email to a selected few as opposed to a formal announcement through the Human Resources Department as is customary.<\/p>

The ABAA body learned of this information only through the grapevine.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henry\u2019s departure is the first of many to come as the moral of staff drop daily and many try to seek out new opportunities to grow and contribute to something meaningful.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airport Authority needs help \u2013 At the top of the so-called management is a group of people who are learning on the job.\u00a0 What is now a very young and inexperienced team struggles to run the institution that is so critical to the economy of the nation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>
