\u201cThe fact that you have been elected unopposed confirms the confidence we all have in you,\u201d said Prime Minister Browne. \u201cYou are a man of integrity, bringing significant experience as a former Deputy Speaker in the Senate and a wealth of knowledge from both the public and private sectors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister noted the high standard set by outgoing Speaker Sir Gerald, whose contributions he described as \u201csterling.\u201d Browne encouraged Frederick to build on Sir Gerald\u2019s legacy while addressing areas for improvement, including enhancing the autonomy of the Parliament and upgrading its physical infrastructure.<\/p>
