Recalling a message from a young woman who expressed admiration and curiosity about her journey, Govia encouraged women not to shy away from politics or leadership roles. \u201cLeadership is not about gender or race but about passion, determination, and commitment,\u201d she affirmed.<\/p>

Govia highlighted her plans to focus on advancing programs within education, sports, and the creative industries. She pointed to an ongoing collaboration with Minister of Education Daryll Matthew, with whom she has a strong working relationship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, they plan to enhance youth programs, including revitalizing the youth drama club, choir, and steel orchestra. She also hinted at the return of the DARE program, which aims to educate and empower youth, noting that there are ongoing discussions about its rebranding and future rollout.<\/p>
