Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney, has confirmed that international partners, including Scotland Yard, will provide assistance not only in the high-profile murder investigation of MP Asot Michael but also in other unsolved murder cases across the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on Observer Radio, Rodney explained that while the recent murder of MP Asot Michael has prompted the request for international support, authorities plan to leverage this additional expertise to address other outstanding cases. \u201cWe\u2019re working to get assistance not just for Mr. Michael\u2019s case but for several other cases that require specialized resources and expertise,\u201d Rodney said. \u201cWe want to make the most of the help we receive, ensuring it benefits other investigations that are equally critical.\u201d<\/p>

Rodney indicated that the police force has already been in contact with regional partners and has formally requested support from Scotland Yard through the government and foreign affairs channels. In recent weeks, Rodney and his team have faced public scrutiny over the speed and urgency of their investigations, with some members of the public questioning whether priority has been given to certain cases. Rodney dismissed these concerns, asserting that all murder cases are handled with equal dedication. \u201cThe police force treats every homicide with the same energy and commitment.
