Antigua\u2019s Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney has reported substantial progress in the investigation of the murder of MP Asot Michael, revealing that investigators have \u201cgathered quite a bit of information\u201d since the case was launched.<\/p>

\u201cThis is a serious investigation, and we are putting all our resources into it,\u201d Rodney said during an interview on Observer Radio. \u201cSo far, we\u2019ve gathered a significant amount of information, but there is still much more to do, especially within these crucial initial stages.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commissioner described the scene as extensive and challenging to process, requiring a full team of serious crime investigators to comb through every detail. \u201cThe compound is large, and it takes time to process the entire scene. We are making sure that nothing is overlooked,\u201d Rodney explained.<\/p>

To bolster the investigation, Rodney confirmed that Antigua\u2019s police are in communication with regional and international partners, including Scotland Yard, to bring additional expertise to the case. \u201cWe\u2019ve reached out to our regional partners for resources we might need, and a formal request has been made to the government to seek assistance from Scotland Yard,\u201d he said.<\/p>

Rodney also appealed for patience from the public as the investigation progresses, reiterating that the police are committed to a thorough approach. \u201cEvery piece of information from the scene and anyone connected to Mr. Michael is being examined closely,\u201d he said. \u201cWe want to ensure that this investigation is comprehensive and meticulous, as it should be in a case of this gravity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation, led by one of Antigua\u2019s most senior and experienced detectives, continues to draw on all available resources to swiftly bring those responsible to justice. Rodney urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information about the case, reminding them to rely on official updates from law enforcement.<\/p>
