POLICE CONTINUE PROBE DEATH OF HON. ASOT MICHAEL<\/em><\/p>

The police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of 54-year-old Asot Michael, MP for the Constituency of St. Peter.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Around 8 am on Tuesday, November 5, the police responded to a report, where the body of the Hon. Asot Michael was found unresponsive at his home at Dry Hill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was found with what appears to be multiple puncture wounds about his body. His body was pronounced dead at 10:10 am by a medical doctor who arrived at the scene.<\/p>

Commissioner of Police, Mr. Atlee Rodney was at the scene and expressed his codolences to the family of Mr. Michael. <\/p>

He has also assured them the police will use whatever resources they have available to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The police are appealing to anyone with information surrounding this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call the Crimestoppers anonymous hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police are further asking members of the public to respect the Michael\u2019s family, and desit from posting sensitive images or comments on social media about his death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
