The Antigua Turf Club (ATC) has decided to postpone today\u2019s Independence Race Meet due to \u201covernight showers which has left the track very soggy\u201d.<\/p>

Today\u2019s seven furlong feature race was being dubbed \u2018The Fresh Milk Breeder\u2019s Cup<\/em>\u2019 designed to showcase the fastest locally bred horses on the island and was named in honor of the recently deceased (October) local star Fresh Milk<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The race is tentatively being rescheduled for two weeks from today, Sunday 18 November, 2018 at the Cassada Gardens Raceway.<\/p>

The feature race was set to be as follows:<\/p>

  1. BooBe Alley <\/em>(BooBe Alley Stables)<\/li>
  2. Sput Nick <\/em>(Denfield Harris)<\/li>
  3. Ital <\/em>(Calibi Stables)<\/li>
  4. The Dan (Lion Stables)<\/em><\/li>
  5. Carol Vontrell<\/em> (God\u2019s Grace Stables)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The complete racecard is slated to include six races in total to include the featured Breeders Cup<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    New imports will also be on display as many stable owners will be watching to see the debut of King Pin <\/em>which will run out of the First Triple Crown Stables owned by Jerry Roberts and Hazelroy Barnes.<\/p>

    Horse racing enthusiasts will look to see how the King Pin fares against recent import Baba Baba (God\u2019s Grace Stables) and local favorite Scrum Pum<\/em>. Also, competing in that race card will be Triple Crown spoilers Advanced Credit<\/em> (Western Stables) \u00a0and He\u2019s Sensational <\/em>(Devil\u2019s Disciples Stables).<\/p>\n
