The most notable of these is the departure of Samantha Marshall, who currently serves as the Leader of Government Business in the Senate. <\/p>

Prime Minister Gaston Browne, during an address to members of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party at People’s Place last Friday, shared insight into the upcoming adjustments.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Marshall has not provided specific reasons for her decision to leave, but there are suggestions she plans to return to private law practice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her absence, a new Leader of Government Business will need to be appointed, and the Prime Minister revealed that the search for a replacement is underway. <\/p>

The list of candidates has been narrowed to a few individuals, with the requirement that the Leader of Government Business must also hold a ministerial role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One possible candidate for the position is Senator Shenella Govia, the Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Creative Industries, who was commended by the Prime Minister for her diligent work.<\/p>
